The boys have played other sports but soccer has been what defines them. Their teams have had mixed results over the years but they always come out of league games, tournaments, and high school soccer with a positive attitude. Recently, both my boys helped as junior coaches and dorm counselors for the Steamboat Soccer Academy they are certified referees and just returned from a trip to Europe with 40 other players from Steamboat.

I truly believe that the consistency and growth of soccer have been a huge positive influence on my boys.

Soccer has taught me to be strong, persistent, and passionate. I’ve made great friendships with so many people through soccer. So thankful for this amazing team I’ve grown up with through the club and all the coaches who have helped shape me into the person I am today. Thank you for the amazing memories SSC.

I cannot thank my team and coaches enough for the chance to get to play in such an amazing environment. I have learned what my core values in life are. Thanks to the steamboat soccer club I have learned to work as a team, be a leader, stay positive, and keep going when you feel like giving up. I have also created friendships and memories that will last a lifetime. Without soccer, I wouldn’t be the person I am today.

Thank you for teaching me how to be a great soccer player, but more importantly a better person :) I am sad to leave this program but I walk away from the sport that I love knowing that it will have the same amazing effect on so many other young kids in Steamboat!
